For the month of October 2016 I attended the Earthship Biotecture Academy in Taos, NM. In 2018 I completed my field study requirement by attending the first two phases of the Earthship Biotecture build in Puerto Rico. July 2019 we purchased 7 acres of raw land in North East Kansas and began building and developing our land with the end goal of having a self sustainable homestead with a food forest and an Earthship inspired home. I do tours of our property as my independent study requirement to graduate from the Earthship Biotecture program.
I am now a full graduate and hold a degree in Biotecture.

Below is a paper I wrote in 2013 that led me to my current choices in life and involvement in this type of home construction… among other things.
My Declaration of Freedom
I want food, shelter, transportation, and abundant clean energy for everyone on the planet.
I know there is already enough for everyone. There is more than enough. There always has been.
I believe this is the natural balance of the universe.
Yet, currently on this world resources are horded, hidden, and controlled by a very small number of our population through global systems and our own paradigms that blind us.
This hording leaves all of us in lack. We all are falling short of what can be.
We must by this point in time be convinced, by proof of history, effort, and logic that our current paradigms and systems on this planet do not allow this natural balance of nature to exist.
It is also evident through proof of history, effort, and logic that these current systems cannot and will not be changed or repaired or improved by any amount of time, effort or force of will.
Furthermore, I am done waiting for leaders, for saviors, for things to get better. We must do it ourselves.
This brings us to no other choice. These systems must be replaced, and replaced by us.
This does not require a revolution.
This does not require fighting or struggle or political will.
This solely will transpire when we do it.
The Manifesto
In the following manifesto I will simply explain to those with ears to listen and eyes to see, what I have concluded to be the current situation and the power we have and always have had to make our world what it can be, what it should be, what it naturally is.
I will not argue to convince anyone of these truths. Nor will I go more into the details than is completely necessary to state my point. Explaining the problem and convincing anyone of truths is not my purpose.
Two things
If you control money (currency) you can control energy. If you control energy you control growth, movement, and prosperity.
Our world, our lives, our existence is held in a strangle hold. The forces that own and control our currency and energy extract our wealth from us on an ongoing basis, year after year, decade after decade and century after century. They destroy our planet and manipulate our markets for their own benefit with no regard to our well being or the planet’s.
We live in a world of mega elites and peasants, where the mega elites are never even seen. CEOs, presidents, prime ministers, generals, corporate moguls, these are only the henchmen, and the middle management of the system owned and run by unseen elite. We live in a feudal society where we the peasants have no idea we are the peasants and the nobility live in hidden fortresses. This is why it has not changed.
Prisoners who do not know they are prisoners do not attempt to escape
We are prisoners of our minds. We are prisoners of our own agreed upon paradigms.
I’m just one person, what can I do? It’s always been that way. I just work here. People are greedy by nature. We have to fight for our rights. Once our party is elected everything will be fine.
Paradigms dictate our thoughts, our actions and therefore our reality. Paradigms are just concepts and can be changed simply by deciding to change them.
If we change our paradigms we will change our thoughts. When we think differently we make different choices and act differently. When we act differently we get a different reality. It is that simple. This is not woo-woo manifestation. It is simple solid real world fact.
We as individuals agree consciously or otherwise what can and cannot be done in our lives and in our world. The world is the way it is because we all agree that it is the way it is. Nothing is imposed upon us without our consent. Every time someone gives up and says, “I am only one person. What can I do?” that person is giving passive consent for others to control their world. They are creating their own reality, no one else.
When we change our current paradigms about money and energy we clearly see how our world is being manipulated and destroyed and we then come to the inevitable conclusion that we must stop feeding the current system and create our own.
Money and energy control every physical aspect of our world. Change these two paradigms and the world is changed.
Paradigms that blind us
Some current money paradigms:
- Our system has always been this way.
- Our governments have our best interest in mind.
- Inflation is a natural fact of economics.
- The economists must know what they are talking about.
- More is better.
Because of these paradigms we focus on how to make more money to pay for more things with ever increasing costs and hoping that the future will be better.
I have to work to live. Money doesn’t grow on trees. Another day another dollar.
In reality, our current monetary system is controlled by private central banks that are accountable to no one. They print currency at will and adjust the interest rates to change markets for their sole benefit.
If you can print currency you can purchase anything you wish. Those who cannot, get poorer as more currency is printed thus making the currency they have worth less and less. In this way those who control currency inevitably transfer wealth from the masses to themselves. Print currency for free and spend it before inflation makes it worthless. This is how the elite become richer and richer.
This has happened time and time again throughout history. All currencies collapse over time through over printing. Once a currency collapses those that print money start over by printing a new currency and the cycle of extracting wealth from the masses and transferring it to the elite continues.
Add to this the fractional banking system that creates debt based currency and there is no way for the masses to ever pay their ever increasing debt with the ever decreasing value of their currency. They must increasingly work more to pay more and more, never escaping.
Over time the masses are enslaved by un-payable debt.
Within our current paradigms we are unknowingly indentured servants with no chance of earning our freedom. Making this all worse is that all of our efforts to better ourselves do nothing more than fund the system that destroys us.
Unlimited printing of currency and the manipulation of markets are mandatory for the current top down control system to work. This is why the top banks of the world spend billions of dollars every year on political campaign contributions, special interest groups, and lobbyists in order to keep their secretive control.
There is nothing Federal about the Federal Reserve.
When you take out a loan or use credit you fund the system. When you put your money in the banking system you fund the system that is eating you. When you invest in the stock market you fund the system.
Some current energy paradigms:
- Energy is a scarce resource.
- Oil, coal, and natural gas are the only real viable energy sources.
- Alternative energy is too expensive.
Because of these paradigms we focus on and debate about which source of energy is less scarce and therefore cheaper, and of these which one damages the earth less.
We must pick the lesser of two evils. You have to break some eggs to make an omelet.
In reality, our current energy system is owned by a handful of companies that control all of the Earth’s energy resources. They extract these resources without regard to the safety, health, or prosperity of the people or the land. Irreversible damage is done while deferring the cost of our “cheap” energy to the land and people near the mines, wells, refineries, and shipping routes. Each year billions upon billions of dollars of profits are seen by the oil, coal, and natural gas industries with no regard to the damage they do. These few companies dictate energy prices and therefore dictate our level of prosperity.
Energy replaces human effort; therefore energy is the core of civilization and prosperity. With more energy we prosper. With less we struggle. Abundant energy frees us up to be creative, generous, and to enjoy our lives more and more.
If you control the cost and distribution of energy you control human prosperity at the core of its essence. You can dictate when and where, who and what prosper. You can dictate what is built, developed, and distributed. Everyone else is at the whim of whomever controls the access to energy.
Scarce, sellable energy is mandatory for the current top down control system to work. This is why billions of dollars every year are spent on wars to secure it, laws to exploit the extraction of it, and to suppress renewable and free energy technologies that have been around for decades.
When you drive your car you fund the system that destroys the earth and steals your prosperity. When you pay your utility bill you fund the system. When you buy petroleum based products you fund the system. When you fly in an airplane you fund the system. When you buy anything shipped across the country or globe you fund the system controlled by the companies that steal your prosperity, health, and well being for their own profit.
Break the strangle hold –OR– This is your world. Make it what you want
We fund the elites that have suppressed us for generations. When we stop funding them the current systems no longer have power and the natural balance of abundance will appear. People will start keeping what is theirs, working less for survival and freeing themselves up to create, help others, and enjoy life. No longer able to be hidden, suppressed technologies will come to the knowledge of the masses and be implemented putting us even further into prosperity.
But first we must see our current systems and paradigms for what they are, lies. Then we must take action into our own hands to replace the paradigms with truth and create new systems.
This is done by all of us taking more and more responsibility in how we see the world and in our actions.
If we focus on the currency and energy we can do this. We can change our status in this world from peasant to full sovereign citizen with the full rights and privileges that this universe provides. We all must take real actions to remove ourselves from the systems that devour us to allow the natural balance of abundance to appear.
Money (currency) and energy control every physical aspect of our world. Change these two paradigms and the world is changed.
We are ready to wake up. We are ready to see reality as it is and turn it into what it can be. We can escape from the prisons of our own agreed upon paradigms.
Taking Action
I am here to suggest actions to those who have come to the same inevitable conclusions I have.
First, here are some new ways to think about money, energy, and ourselves.
Some new paradigms about money:
- Only money (currency) based on real assets is real.
- If you can’t hold it in your hand it does not exist.
- Only truly free markets can dictate value.
- All un-backed (fiat) currencies fail.
Some new paradigms about energy:
- Clean energy is everywhere.
- Alternative clean energy sources already exist and can be put into place now.
Here are some new paradigms about humanity that will go a long way in helping us out on our goal:
- People are good.
- We have the power and always have.
- Given the chance people will reach a natural balance with each other and nature.
- People know what is best for themselves.
- We can change the world anytime we want.
All of these are paradigms that can change the way we act and therefore change our reality. We simply need to decide to do so. This is solid real world fact.
Now we must act. We must put these concepts, these thoughts into action.
We are ready to take back our money and energy to take back our world and lives.
Without the masses agreeing to use a debt based fiat currency the controlling elite would not be able use debt to enslave us. And if fact, they would lose their own funding source… us.
Ways you can take back the control of your money:
- If you must have a checking account make sure it is in a local credit union not owned by a national or international bank.
- Barter and trade whenever possible to bypass the monetary system.
- Use cash or checks as much as possible instead of debit cards or credit cards.
- Invest in local businesses instead of 401k’s etc.
- Put some of your savings in hard assets such as precious metals
Without scarce, controlled, and sellable energy the largest, most profitable and most powerful corporations in the world that fund the elites would cease to exist.
Ways you can take back the control of energy:
- Use renewable energy of some type in your home or business… even if it is just a tiny bit.
- Use public transportation when available.
- Ride a bike or walk for short trips.
- Buy only local food from organic farms – Get to know the farmers.
- Use non-petroleum based vehicles (electric, bio-diesel etc.)
- Buy used goods from local merchants, garage sales, second hand stores etc.
- When needed buy new products from local manufacturers as much as possible.
- If able, share a vehicle with friends, or family.
- When available use a vehicle sharing service such as City Car Share, Zip Car etc.
Bit by bit, piece by piece these steps taken by us will initially weaken and then in time remove the systems that are keeping us from being what we are meant to be. When this takes place the abundance of the world and our true balanced nature will emerge.
Doing these steps is simply a choice. It is not about lowering the quality of your life. It is voting with your dollars. These simple steps disempower the systems that do not benefit you.
Pick three and do them. Do more or all of them if you can.
The natural state of this world is balanced abundance for all of us. We have been making it otherwise. We have been doing this to ourselves. Now it is time to wake up and be who we are.
All we have to do is decide to:
See the world for what it truly is.
Stop funding the systems that do not benefit you.
Replace the current systems with systems where we all can thrive.
